Former West Texas A&M receiver Charly Martin was signed Wednesday to the Carolina Panthers practice squad.
Martin originally signed as a free agent with the San Diego Chargers, playing in four preseason games with seven catches for 88 yards. He was among 21 players released by San Diego Saturday as NFL teams reached the 53-player roster limit.
Martin holds several receiving records at WT, including career catches (244); touchdown catches in a season (22) and career touchdown catches (45).
