WT's LSC rank in more obscure stats

Many Lone Star Conference football statistical categories are led by first-place Abilene Christian and second-place West Texas A&M.
Here are seven areas of interest for Buffs fans.
1. First downs: WT has 221, 27 more than No. 2 Kingsville.
2. Third-down conversions: WT gets new downs 49 percent of the time, a percentage 7 points better than No. 2 ACU.
3. WT is 11th in time of possession, meaning the Buffs get many of their 399 points in a hurry.
4. The Buffs' Jared Brock is the team's leading tackler with 6.5 but ranks only 21st in the LSC.
5. WT is tied with East Central for second fewest FG attempts (7).
6. Buffs are first in net punting with 36.6 yards per kick
7. At 1-for-1, WT is best onside kickoff team.
For all its problem this year, Northeastern State, this week's opponent for WT, does rank first in one category: PAT kicks. NSU is the only team in the LSC that has not missed.
Of course, due to its sluggish offense, the RiverHawks' Jared Homer has tried only 21 compared to 56 for ACU and and 54 for the Buffs.
