Buffs again will face young quarterback

Young quarterbacks haven't fared well this season against West Texas A&M and the Buffs will see another one Saturday.
Northeastern State, which is in a rebuilding mode this year under first-year coach Kenny Evans, likely will start freshman Kenny Davis at quarterback. Last week, Angelo State went with freshman Michael Cochran. The result was a Rams' effort that produced 115 total yards.
The RiverHawks have two good receivers in Jarrett Byers and Damien Henderson but it has been hard to get the ball to them. They have 74 of the teams' 151 catches, but that's less than 10 combined catches a game.
Against another inexperienced line, the Buffs should be able to pressure Davis and other NSU quarterbacks into poor throws. WT had a half-dozen sacks against Angelo State, including three by end Eugene Sims.
