WT's home opener 7th highest since 2004

The home opener for the Buffs on Aug. 29 - a 37-23 loss to top-ranked Grand Valley State - drew 15,093 fans at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium.

The attendance was the seventh-highest at home for the Buffs since 2004, and the biggest opening game attendance since 2004.

For the record, WT's largest crowd in the past six seasons was the 23,276 fans that crammed into Kimbrough for the Buffs 62-31 win over Eastern New Mexico on Oct. 13, 2007. The second most? Also against ENMU - a crowd of 22,993 watched WT beat the Greyhounds 52-51 in overtime on Oct. 8, 2005.
