Lady Buffs: New coach is 'intense'

There's a new sherrif in town, and he's not messing around.

New WT volleyball coach Jason Skoch made his presence felt from Day 1 of spring practices of last year, and all the players seem to agree on one thing. Coach Skoch (that phrase rhymes, and gets more fun to say each time) is an intense dude.

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense," Skoch said Wednesday before their second two-a-day practice. "I would say consistently focused."

Whatever the perception of his coaching style, the players and their coach agree that it's working out so far. All parties are excited about starting the season Thursday, Aug. 27 at home.
